The Reserve Bank of India, or RBI, is the statutory authority that regulates and maintains several non-banking and banking companies. The RBI comprises nineteen regional offices, ten sub-offices in India, and four zonal offices. The Reserve Bank of India is the property of the Central Government. The RBI Assistant exam is divided into three phases: Prelims, Mains, and Language Proficiency Test.
The Preliminary exam involves multiple choice questions. It is conducted in offline mode with the negative marking of 1/4th marks for each incorrect answer. What is RBI Grade B?
The RBI Grade B is a banking examination conducted all over the country. This exam is also known as the ‘entry-level officers’ exam held by RBI. Nearly lakhs of aspirants sit for the RBI Grade B examination every year. The RBI Grade B examination is categorized into 3 phases. The first two phases consist of written exams, and the third phase is all about the personal interview. RBI Grade B Exam Pattern
The first step of the RBI Grade B examination is Prelims. The prelims paper consists of 4 sections with a total of 200 marks and a time limit of 120 minutes. The prelims paper contains questions based on subjects like General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English language, and Reasoning.
The RBI Grade B Mains examination is 300 marks. The Mains examination is categorized into three papers: Paper 1(Economics and Social Issues), Paper 2 (English Writing Skills), and Paper 3 (Finance and Management).

Eligibility Criteria for RBI Assistant Examination
The age limit for aspirants applying for the RBI Assistant examination is 20 to 28 years. Although, some age relaxations are provided to candidates from several categories. The candidates belonging to SC/ST category can sit for the exam up to the age of 33 years. The candidates from the OBC category are eligible for this exam up to the age of 31 years.
To apply for the RBI Assistant examination, the candidates must have a graduation degree from any recognized university with at least 50% of marks in any subject or field. The candidates should be familiar with operating computers systematically. The candidates must be well versed in the official language of the State or Union territory.
