Souvenirs can be an object or paper that you received to remind of a person or an event. It is mostly used in events and conferences where the receiver has to take it home as a remembrance of that particular event or owner. It also plays a role as a symbol of honor to the receiver.

In other words, it is something that the receiver keeps to remind him of that special event.

Souvenier is the alternative spelling of ‘Souvenir’. The only difference between the spellings is the letter ‘e’ between ‘i’ and ‘r’. But it is not common in use.

Although, the autocorrect in my laptop shows that ‘Souvenier’ is incorrect and should be replaced by ‘Souvenir’ but ‘Souvenier’ is the alternative or obsolete way of writing the ideal word. Most people prefer to use the word ‘Souvenir’ as it is considered more correct because of the advancement of the English language.
