Mango is a city in Jamshedpur. It is located across the Subarnarekha River and is linked to Jamshedpur by three parallel bridges. It is a vast and expanding residential neighbourhood. Once a sleepy small town in the East Singhbhum district’s Dhalbhum subdivision, it is today a thriving neighbourhood and real estate hotspot.
According to the government, Mango has the status of a “city” because it is part of the larger metropolis of Jamshedpur. It is a notified area, with its own notified area committee, Mango Notified Area Committee (MNAC). JBVNL, the state-run energy board, provides electricity services (Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited).
Many buses and auto-rickshaws run regularly from Sakchi, Jamshedpur to Mango. At a distance of 12 kilometres, the next railway station is Tatanagar Junction. You can get bus to Patna, Ranchi, Ghaziabad, Delhi, etc. from Mango bus stand.
